Johnny Cool & The Mobster Swing Band

A contemporary swing band in the style of the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Royal Crown Revue and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy (from the movie “Swingers”), led by music industry icon bandleader, Paul Vesco. This group makes swing music jump with a very aggressive, showy presentation.

Johnny Cool & the Mobster Swing Band was formed eleven years ago in the “retro-swing craze” days. This is a great look for a 20′s thru 40′s themed party, or for a more creative theme like “Cigars and Martinis”, “Great Gatsby” or a “Speakeasy” theme. Besides doing any and all of the material of the Paul Vesco Orchestra or Band, this band can do loads of “retro-swing” material from bands like Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Brian Setzer, LaVay Smith and Her Red Hot Skillet Lickers and Louis Jordan.

This band was featured in many of the retro swing clubs including the Roxy, Rat Packs, City Jazz (Universal Studios Orlando) and the Atlantic Dance Hall (Disney, Orlando). It can do any combination of material from any of the groups, or it can do retro-swing material and big band material all night.

Private dates include Virgin Islands (St. Kitts), Sheraton Bal Harbor (Miami), Marco Island Marriott (Florida), Hyatt Grand Cypress (Orlando), Japan, Disney’s Atlantic Dance Hall, Naples (Florida) Registry Hotel, Westin Hotels in Boulder Colorado and Rio Mar, Puerto Rico, etc., etc.

Paul Vesco, leader of Johnny Cool, conducted the orchestra for Frank Stallone at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City, at the Foxwood Casino in Connecticut, at Tavern On The Green in New York City and at the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas.
